What does hood culture mean?

My family comes from Anatolia, a region full of tradition and history. My grandfather came to Austria to start a new life, hoping to return one day. But life took a different path for us - today we are the fourth generation to live in Austria. We were born here, grew up here, went to school here and work here. Nevertheless, we still long for our roots, our origins and our culture.

It is not always easy to move between two worlds. In Austria you are often the "foreigner" and in your homeland you are the "Austrian". This conflict led me to search for my identity - and I discovered that I don't have to choose. I can be both.

Hood Culture embodies this idea - the harmony between modernity and tradition. It stands for the strength of our roots and the pride of who we are without giving up either side. With Hood Culture, I want to give everyone who finds themselves in similar situations the opportunity to proudly show their culture and their history in their everyday lives. It's not about having to choose between two worlds - we can celebrate both: the tradition of our ancestors and the life we ​​are building in Austria.
